Acapulco Mexican Restaurant in Atmore

My husband and I are in town to sell my jewelry at the MayFest tomorrow and we popped in here for dinner. We love this place and plan to drive up from Pcola every now and then just to eat here. Awesome food at awesome prices!

Best salsa in Alabama

Food was good. The service was great. A young lady name Sky served me and she was so friendly and inviting.

Chips were stale, one of the waitresses had a bad mood when we came in, and we did not get a refill the whole time we were there. It seemed they were not very professional ☹️. My opinion of the place has gone down. At least the main meal was good tho.

I have never had a more horrible experience as I did today. We were never greeted nor acknowledged. When we were finally being shown to our table, the waitress left us in the hall and before we got to the seating area, she was going in the opposite direction. I had to stop her in the hall and ask where we were to sit. I'm not going to go into the drink ordering, etc. but suffice to say the staff needs a lot of training because they have no clue to customer service. Now to the food. We had the Sunday buffet. It was horrible. The meat was tough and tasteless. The vegetables did not have any seasoning. They tasted as if the came straight out of the can. When we left, the hostess did not get off of the phone, much less thank us for coming. I will never eat there again and will discourage anyone from eating there. It would not be hard to take their customers away by providing better food and customer service.

Was from out of town visiting family on vacation when we decided to go out for dinner on a Saturday night. My mother suggested this place. My family greatly enjoyed the dining as well as the service.

Food is decent, people are very pleasant. Will definitely be back.

Ate lunch here the the first time yesterday. My mom and I loved everything from the great service to the tasty food. They serve some very good salsa. Oh and you have to try the frozen lemon-strawberry margarita made fresh. Whenever we are in the area, this will be our go-to restaurant! The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me is because the taco salad seemed like a very small portion; almost child-sized.

Good food, good service, priced right and a nice little place. We were staying in town for a few days and decided to try something local. I would recommend dining here.

Best tasting torta I've had since leaving the bay area! We we're traveling on I-65 and my daughter wanted Mexican. This place was well if the beaten path and looked run down outside, but it was worth the detour! They were very busy yet attentive and the food was delicious!! If I'm ever traveling that way again I with certainty make the effort to go back.

Ive only been here 2-3 times. Most recently, on a Sunday cause I wanted to see how their buffet was that's only on Sundays. I was expecting typical Mexican items, but I don't think I saw anything I'd consider Mexican. Some items looked very unappetizing. Not sure what they were but I won't describe what it looked like other than being wrapped in bacon, whatever it was.Anyway, Sunday service wasn't bad despite a good crowd. First time I went though, the server was more interested in what was on TV than taking care of customers.I did almost have plates of food spilled on me though. Thankfully it missed me by about a foot. Things happen, but that could have been worse. Food is about average with every other Mexican place. Nothing really stood out positively.

They're up charging beef at the moment, with everything going on, but the mushroom melt ribeye was worth every dollar in portion and taste.

What else can I say about this place other than the fact that it is amazing I've had almost everything on the menu and they never fail to blow it out of the park. I even asked if they could spice up a dish that's otherwise not very spicy and they were happy to oblige. If you're in the mood for some delicious Mexican food and you don't feel like going to nasty Jaliscos, this is your place!!

Food was awesome and restaurant/bathrooms clean. It was worth the 4 1/2 mile detour off the interstate.

Best mexican around is my opinion. Try the alcopolco fajitas or the lava bowl two good favorites of mine and my wife.

Each time my family has visited, the food has tasted authentic and service has been good. Only downfall is their cheese dip-not our favorite. It's a little bland for the price you pay.

The double Margaritas are great and they serve a sandwich #9 on the menu that's really nice sandwich. Oh yeah server are very nice and welcomes you ..

Looked rough on the outside, but so glad I tried it the food was amazing.

The staff is always friendly and we found the food here is better than any Mexican sitdown restaurant we can find in Pensacola. We especially like the fajita burritos and their street tacos.

The service is good and the food is fantastic! It appears to be a small, unassuming place set back off the road in a strip mall, but it is quite large inside. Now that I know it is there, I will go there every time I am in town.

Staff is very nice. Everything just seems to taste the same.
